I had that same thought @VolvoHordz but I decided to go with these. The fuel line is stainless 5/16" so should be fine, but I will probably put some clear heatshrink over the pipes where they pass through the clips.
@Ex850R the ones that I didn't like look like this:
They look great and if I had the car down to a shell I think I would consider them again as really what you want to do is weld captive nuts on the inside of the body that you can mount the clamps on.
Actually, as we're talking hypotheticals, what I'd really like to do is go to the effort of machining some custom blocks that have 2 x 5/16", 1 x 1/4", 2 x 3/16" so I can hold both fuel pipes, both brake pipes, and the fuel tank vent hose all on the one block, that would look super tidy.
