Latest then , I drove the car down to work this morning and 50 kilometres into the journey the lambda light came on , so I pulled over took the ecu out and back in , didn't make any difference.

That light can come on for any numbe of reasons

I've taken it out and gone back to the og. Aaron is away till the 13th of this month. It'll get sorted after that 👌

11 days later

So today's the day , in contact with Aaron from 8am till 1pm . We got somewhere and done a couple of runs . Going pretty nicely now . Boost to around 13.6 on the gauge.
All came to a halt when I couldn't get in to do another log so I'm throwing in the towel. Plus I lost all coolant as the car overheated for some reason, don't know why

My conclusion to this is , I'm staying away from computers as it's clearly not for me . Disappointed? Yes I am , not with Aaron and the condescending comments towards myself but more the lack of knowledge around a computer from myself.

The car runs smoothly with a nice bit of get up and go , so yey happy enough......

Its the usual thing.
Peeps with the tech knowledge just dont get that some just dont get that frame of thought and that explaining it makes a difference! Then shouting........Nope.
Take it to a shop with dyno?

Steve did you plug the Earth wire on the engine fan back in after flashing the Engine ECM?

From memory you disconnect it when you flash the ecm as the fan stay on and after flashing you re connect it or no engine fan.

      Ex850R

Agreed , you end up doubting yourself time after time . Obviously I'm doing something wrong but hey ho , life goes on back to fitting windows tomorrow

Wouldn’t mind a dyno as it goes

      ![

I went and bought a tiny laser measuringdevice this afternoon , that put a smile onme face ](https://)

        rado
        Gee , i thought i had a small one!.........

Just literally a tape measure really , point and press for measuring

Was lookat a Makita one that does Pythagoras etc but sales guy suggested this .
Not used Pythagoras in years so probably saved myself $150 .
This little wonder only cost 50 bux

@rado I think you should give yourself more credit for getting to this point with the tune. It's not intuitive for majority of us. I almost bricked a customer's ecu recently as I didn't have the laptop charger plugged in and it went dead while flashing

          I just load flash tunes
I looked into teaching myself tuning and bought some equipment but haven't done anything with it. I'm struggling with motivation to stay in this trade

Lol Tim don't give up but i appreciate your honesty.

          timbo
Thanks Timbo , it's some solice that not all of us are computer savvy 👍
