I saw old mate here apparently abandoned on the side of the road in Mona Vale. Put a note on it, got in touch with the owner, and bought it for $200! I'm picking it up Wednesday and will update this thread then.

Got me a UVP today without much fuss. RMS also confirmed for me the car hadn't been written off or anything. Unsurprisingly, rego was fully cancelled, so it'll need a blue slip. Fortunately for me, I live literally around the corner from a blue slip mechanic.
Le Rad. Been looking for an 80's band-aid sticker for you but has been harder than I thought!
What's the plan for this one? Fix ''n' Flip? Project? Bash car? Le Mons car? Keeper?
Fix and flip, but probably to @soph

So first impressions are it's not half bad, slow as balls though. Power steering works, lights work, no exhaust leaks, engine starts up easy and runs fine. Probably just needs a basic tune up. Found one rust bubble on the rear edge of the boot lid, that's it.
Shudder under hard braking suspect stuck caliper or warped rotor (or just rusty from sitting so long), also a small vibration pretty sure from prop shaft centre donut. Finally the blower motor makes a God awful noise, which I assume is seized bearings. Also the head unit is some cheap after market unit and doesn't appear to have any power to it.
Do you know where those centre donuts are available? I reckon I need a new one too.

Fill with silicone
Heh heh, 'slow as balls' would be right. This is the same as one of Voldat's loaners, which I would describe as progressing in a stately manner, or in other words...

I went over the bodywork and found one bit of rust:

Going up the hill out of Mona Vale, up Mona Vale Road, flat out managed to just hold 60km/h.

I know they make less power than the B21E, but this is significantly slower than my 244, so I think it probably needs cap/rotor, plugs, and base timing set properly.
And possibly a carby kit & air cleaner. B21A of that era was rated at 102 BHP. No ball of fire, but it should get you up that hill on Mona Vale Rd at better than 60 km/h flat knacker, did it countless times in a similar unit many moons ago.
It's a nice BW55 you take that back
