Wow OK it's been awhile since an update .
Not long after my last update I had a bad back injury that haulted basically everything .
It's almost 6 months since then injury and I would say I'm back to about 40% of what I was so getting car things done has been hard but I'm starting to feel better everyday and the enthusiasm has come back I've been going full steam (which is very little steam these days 🤣 ) into it.
A couple good friends have been coming around and helping me do things which I'm forever grateful for ,it kept me sane and pushed me to get back into things .
We got the 360 straight …….enough !!
She's a lil wonky but who isnt right haha
If I went to any effort I'm sure i could've actually made the panel look nice but the cars life is destined to be a club registered track car that we can all use and abuse so as long as it does the job it will do .
There's going to be a bunch of updates over the next couple weeks as parts start to roll in .
First job after straighting the car was to sort the radiator out .
you can get alloy 360 radiators off ebay but they come from overseas it works out near $600Aud and they are just your basic ebay china job , the expansion pipe is slightly wrong too so you need to cut some sheet metal To fit them .
I thought buggar that im not paying that much money so i took some measurements and sat on ebay for a couple days until i found a near perfect match the porche 944 radiator.
It's slightly smaller but close enough .
I had to modify the top mounts but that was easy.
the inlet/outlet on the porche radiator is 38mm so stock 360 hoses won't really work / are unavailable anyway haha
I found some flexible universal ones that will work I'll update this with part numbers and pics when they arrive for anyone playing along at home .
Mackay Flex Hose 3238406F is perfect for the bottom hose .
I'm just waiting for my classicswede order to come then I'll have a whole cars worth of poly bushes to do and
2 new poly engine mounts
I also sourced new inner and outer tie rods and ball joints from the Netherlands as they are also now NLA in Australia.
That's about it for now but I shall report back soon with more 360 content !!
