I agree, I think they're the only way to go if you want true longevity. The bearings are standard parts that can be replaced too. I ran into similar issues with the 360GLT where OE strut mounts were simply not available, and rosejointed race mounts were the only opttion.
I was under the impression that the Kalphenke ones were specifically for track/racing so weren't suitable for road cars, but looks like I might be wrong.
They're not even that much more expensive than OEM mounts so maybe I should get some.
Anyone want to do a group buy?
I'm interested if you're willing to wait a fortnight. Still recovering from engine rebuild.

The spherical bearing strut top mounts will make for a slightly harsher ride, as the stock rubber ones absorb some road vibration.
My ride is already pretty harsh with urethane bushes and stiffer springs so won't be too noticeable hopefully.

Happy to wait, wouldn't be installing them till at least July anyway to be honest.
I was over at K-Mac suspension today.

They do a 240 strut mount with urethane in place of rubber, for $325 a set.

Or they do these, with spherical bearing, etc, and a full range of adjustment, for $545 a set.
@bgpzfm142 how do you think their urethane ones would compare to the Kalphenke ones, for a road car?
I put some Kaplhenke adjustable ones in my 245 recently and I honestly didn't notice any increase in NVH.

Reckon they'd be a step up from the FCP stuff, but not as bulletproof as the Kalphenke gear.

I was thinking of ordering the mounts from Kaplhenke, are you still down for a group buy?
Yes I’m definitely in. How do you go about payment and shipment? Where are you located?

If you are doing a group buy, add me to the list.

Also if you're organising a group buy, you need to get in touch with Ben and work out an expected completion date for X number of units, and price per unit including shipping.
Yeah I've discovered that through trying to order a set of roll centre adjusters.

I'll add you to the list, and once I've established the numbers, get in touch with him and report back.
Yeah I'd like a few things from him I think.
I can ask if you like, but if you're after a few things, it may work out better for you to place your own order - the weight may end up making it more costly...

Fair enough, maybe I'll keep it simple with the group buy
Uhhh I'm tentatively in, I wanted some of those control arm spacer things

Edit: man i didn't realise they were $300 US. Maybe I'll pass
No worries.

@robsta77 And @bgpzfm142 (and @heavy_dd if you end up being in too) - they do two different versions of the mounts, I was just going to go for the cheap ones. Do you have a preference?

@GingerNinja - did you order yours with Luxe Steer? And are you using standard style springs?

@240 I'll wait for a reply from @GingerNinja before indicating a preference.
