So its finally of to the garage today to have fitted , steering rack , hd spring seat and mount kit (ipd), hd sway bar end link kit (ipd) , ali radiator , ali intercooler , all abs sensors plus the box for the abs , hoses and a service .......... hopefully should drive nice when its back .. B)

Kool, it will drive nice!
I would watch those HD end links, my experience with the ipd ones is that they were rubbish.
My recommendation is MOOG ones from Rockauto, they have grease nipples but you need to only install them when you grease them. Plug the threads with bungs all other times as one end, I forget which, will catch so bungs needed.

Got the car back last night so at last i can drive it properly. All seems well and its a pleasure to drive with no clunks rattles and the steering wheel going all over the place . And a nice bit of power added . So next is either change the exhaust system or re spray .....probably both

The strut brace seems to have made a great difference as well on some nice twisty bends

Just a few random pictures. ... the last one , i have been looking into replacing the wood surrounding where the trim has cracked and broken away and also replacing that awful stereo ..

So after a month of driving it as is , it's a nice upgrade. Easy to drive and noticeable difference when the turbo chimes in . Front end seems stiffer with the strut brace and no horrible knocks and bangs . The dash still lights up like a Christmas tree now and then as I didn't change the front abs sensors. Changed the rear and the circuit board so will change the front soon enough. Next , thinking of a turbo back exhaust. Not enough on the market or more than likely not looking in the right places . Any heads up would be great members . Ideally 3" I'm not interested in a custom job by a exhaust welded just something online as well I don't have that kind of time and I'm in WA .

Getting items shipped over here isn't an issue for me , as per my other interests I generally buy items that cannot be obtained in Australia .

There used to be a black manual '96 R wagon in Perth. It ended up being lowered and chipped (with all boost limiters and rev limiters removed) with a shop made 3" exhaust that was copied from the stock pattern. It went like a cat with its tail on fire. I don't know what happened to it when the marriage ended (not over the car).

Not 2ks away at the local shops bumped into an ole girl putting her shopping into a prestine white 850r. Totally standard without a mark on it . Got talking and she's had it from new . Absolutely stunning.

Grey door and bumper trims and anthracite wheels on a clean white car just work.

An exhaust is not an item that really needs to be bought from overseas, competent exhaust shops can make something from scratch, it's not like an imported unit will have any decent warranty, unlike the individual parts of a locally made exhaust.

It's all very well competent exhaust shops can make an exhaust for the car its more I don't have the time to go find a competent place to make one up . I work an hour and a half away so this leaves me saturday morning to do this
Thus leaves myself no weekend time to do my weekend stuff .

I'd also like to add .....when it comes to said 'warranty' I couldn't give a monkeys right nut about these kind of things . There is loop holes around every situation. Yes even exhausts . Been there done that . Sorry .....
