It's in this thread somewhere when I changed it all , when the forum changed it became one long page for some reason but I digress..... you can change the swaybar bushes but , you will have to drill and burn them out . It sounds a pain in the arse and believe me it is but worth it . From memory I poly bushed it with locking rings from white lightning locking rings . The poly have grease nipples , I do mine every 6 months .

The original swaybar bushes are vulcanised , probably why volvo are saying you need a new bar I'm guessing . I was going to for a bigger swaybar but upon reading and listening to other 850 guys the oem bar is good enough, just go with poly bushes and put a bigger rear bar on ( something I haven't done yet ) .
