What a shame it ended up like this but you all survived it . If you do brake it , you could keep the shell and mount it in the garden somewhere , think that's what i'd do , or make a trailer from the back end for camping or a bbq front end ?

It such an unfortunate thing to happen. ? However if you do part it out, I know there are a few people keen on p80 awd parts in WA. Even I would be keen on at least 10 parts.

As above. Always tough to lose one when there is sentimental value.

I too, however, will join the circling vultures - I'm keen on some of the cosmetic stuff. :)

I'm just waiting to see if some one is willing to buy it to put back on the rd, if not there is s guy Over here willing to take the whole car for bit for his car.

At the moment the kids are loving having a full size car to play with in the back garden.

Since the car was written off we have now purchased a 2013 xc60 D5 R design with polestar tune.

The car is great, but having the slightly later V40 there is a big let down with the sensus navigation in the XC60, is there an upgrade to bring it up to the standard of the V40?

@Ex850R Well it's been a while, and it looks like I got the car back, So Maise well carry on this thread.

I got the car back on Saturday and with a few small issues, central locking not working and oil seeping out of some of the bolts on the cam cover.

With the central locking all it was, was the thermistor in the motors, I ended up replacing them with small pieces of copper and with help of the 850 OBD II I reporgrammed a spare remote.

the cam cover I tapped the damaged threads with an M8 x 1 tap and replaced the bolts, ran the car up and looks to have solved the issue of oil weeping out the bolt holes.

next one to tackle is the abs solnoid module, it's been resoldered in the last by myself, so looking for another one, then get the blown door cards sorted

Aye it's good have her back, she has been named bertha as in big bertha, it's been her name for years.

I'll have a search for that thread, I wouldn't mind getting some spacers made up for the springs just to give here that bit of extra clearance a manual conversion and squeeze a few extra HP's.

I saw song longer suspension set ups somewhere.

Certainly BNE have good stuffs.

You could make any longer shock fit and suitable springs I’m sure. Even more comfortable.

Nice to see another V70XC. Lucky that you have a 98', no ETM issues to worry about.

I have brand new spring spacers made by Adam Nonis. He's a respected name in the lifted P80 crowd. Still in the box too, I'll probably never get around to fitting them. PM me if you're interested.

So I reflowed the solder on the abs solenoid module, took her out for a 20km drive and the abs lights went off so win win, spent the grand total of $15 on some trim clips so far after pulling the door card.

Spoke with mark @berry's about some other bits for the car l, do we will see how things progress.

Ok, time for some stupid question, with the car came with a TD04HL - 16T, ally inter cooler, I also bought a 850 NA intake manifold which I will need a throttle body, MAF?? as well, there is also a 3" down pipe which will need modified slightly and it's de-catted

So can I bolt all this stuff on and it would work? or am I chasing my tail and just do the intake and down pipe.

not looking for huge figures just more drivability.

That would need a tune of some sort.

I’d suggest MTE Sweden, Mark Richardson (VP Tuning. / Voldat) Mark loads the tune he is Australia distributer.

I think I know who you mean, he often chirps in on the wave page if it's the same person, would another option go for a T5 ecu from a 98 with injectors? assuming they use the same MAF

Pre ETM so a throttle body ypu csn pretty much bolt everything on.

All depends on lots of things. Habe a look at this. I run a VAST tune with minimal issues. Its not perfect but it's fine for me.

Like any old car if you modify or upgrade 1 part you must upgrade the next.
Eg you can't just fit injectors with out a good fuel pump ect. Ypu ge

I got a full stock internal 97 T5 2.3 auto with just the bolt ons and its been happy with a 20 psi VAST tune for a couple of year now. Just about to approach 180km. I use good parts and good fuel and service it regularly.
