My 244 is in many pieces, and needs parts that are currently 100km away. My 740 has implemented new strategies to leak fluids. This might get interesting.
Nah. Forester? Hilux?
The company is more important than the vehicle you take.

This +1

I did re-register the 94 850 sedan of doom so it might come

For sure, 164 is not coming :( I will however still be in a Volvo.
The bushes are getting done today! Along with the front brake pads & windscreen tomorrow. So if I can book reg for Friday I'm good to go!

Hilux has been down for a long time, I need to find time to take the rear diff apart and get the centre rebuilt.

GF needs the Forester to get to work.

Worst case scenario is I keep pouring fluids through the 740 for the trip.
To some degree that is what I am doing in the 144 so you will be in good leaky Volvo company!
Where are. People staying, and how much does it cost? I still need to book
Just arrived in Armidale for an overnight stay, Dubbo tomorrow and then the Zoo, Parkes on Saturday.
I am officially Parkes bound.
I am booked at the station motel, not sure about others.

Wow!
Sounds like you need to do some car-consolidation, translate the fleet of broken stuff into a couple that don't give you grief plus a 240.

Have you still got your Landrover?

Keep the Foz, offload hilux, landie and 740 for newer, more betterer hilux and keep the 240 as the toy?
Or are they all too sentimental and just down as a result of crappy timing with something you want to get to around the corner?

A mate just bought a '96 hilux diesel 4wd crew cab quite cheaply (though that's going to be the toy in his case).
Not everyone can afford to buy a new/er car and the 740 just had work done to go back on the road so for leaks. .. What's it losing? Not everyone can work two jobs and many extra hours of overtime and still find time to go out to the shed and work on things. We are all different like that after all ;)

I've booked into the station motel also.
@OldnDecrepit where are you staying in Armidale?

Let me know and I might wander into town for a drink!
It's just down the road, but it's about 2km down the road!
For Armidale, yep it is warm....

Have you got anti-freeze in your car? :P
