So what's the quickest or most scenic or best roaded or a combination of to get from Melbourne to Parkes? I'm seeing a whole lot of roads on the map & I don't know their condition being a double header & all...
same question Parkes to Brisbane.

Up through Shepparton and then to Parkes on the A39?

Although she's a rough 'n' ready workhorse, Noodles has working A/C - unlike a certain locally-made V8 gadget in the stable - which makes my choice easy. :-)
