  • Oz Volvo National Meet 2014

Hey guys, I'm looking for a bit of favors, from maybe 2 or more people. There is a set of wheels in kirwan (near Townsville) I'm trying to get to Melbourne. More than happy to throw some cash etc. PayPal or what ever.

Was thinking the national meet would be a perfect hand over. Between the two. Shop me an inbox please.
Will said wheels have tyres on them?

I am only 100km north of 1/2 way between Townsville an Melbourne
carnut1100;23280 wroteAt the moment, I won't have a car ready , nor will I have funds to pay for fuel and boat trips etc...but, I have ticket money to visit family in Melbourne, abs I have family in Sydney also, so I have hatched a cunning plan.......

Maybe, just maybe....I could fly up to Melbourne, visit sis, then catch a lift with one or several of the Vic /Tas guys heading to the meet.
Then catch a lift with one or several of the NSW guys to Sydney, visit relatives there, then fly home from Sydney.
Would mean I could come to the meet for not much more than what my Melbourne visit us going to cost anyway....and include Sydney in the mix.

Anyone think that might be feasible?
Only way I can make it at the moment....between wedding, saving for junior, and sprucing up my house so someone will actually give me money for it, I'm not going to be able to prep a car and make it on my own...
I've got a family intensive trip up so only a maybe at this stage, might end up with a full car...

Hopefully I can get the 245 +T'd before this! We got the engine, got the gearbox, getting a harness and its just a matter of me putting it all together!

Would probably spend a few days in Melbourne first visiting family, so could easily get a lift with any of the Tas or Melbourne people...

Not sure about dates yet. I can pick you up in Melbourne without issue.
I'm about 99% sure I am going at the moment.
Trains run all the time , get very full at peak as you could imagine but easily done.

I have just realised how close this event actually is, will have to book my accommodation soon I think, still not sure if the 360 will make the trip or just take the aurion.
Yes, I still need to book too. Gotta ask my mate to see if he wants to help with the driving. The Moose should hopefully rb I better shape by then... Is currently in many bits :)

If i come it will be with a tent and sleeping bag.....
