That's why I'm here, not "there".
It's just that the majority of XY GT owners tended to baby their cars from new; the majority of 140 / 240 owners, didn't.
So 40+ years on, on average, 140s are going to be rougher than most GTHOs, etc .
I've been trying to find a blue 1973 144 for while. A young lady replied to my ad on the Volvo Club of VIc website to say she had a 73 142 of the same colour I'm looking for, but her car wasn't for sale, and to wish me luck. Turns out that her car was on Ebay a several years back - a 4 speed, very low mileage, very good trim, etc and I've been kicking myself ever since for not buying that car at the time.
My point? There used to be a number of these things running around, now you could count them on one hand.
