The problem is in the turbo fitment as this hasn't been done before with this specific setup there is no benchmark as to how it fits. Will take some photos when the engine is back in to show how close everything is.

And yes I've changed the pcd to 5x108 and I'm aware that no one does that ever but through a shit ton of research and hunting I couldn't find a better looking 17" steel wheel that matches perfectly with the Amazon hubcap and considering my rear axels are custom items due to the length I needed and the front hubs I've had machined up to suit the Torana spindles I thought I'll just get them in 5x108 and use the wheels I really want and not substitute for something like a ford steel wheel which looks terrible.

17s really are the limit of the arches! The angle I guess throws me, are they widened already, or just flipped? Jays 17s are flipped and just don't look that big on the 740, but 16s on the 122 look big and yet look small on the 740.

With the hub. Is that to do with the offset of them? As I know it can be a matter of matching bearing id size to change hubs on these, much like trailers.

The turbo is similar on the dump to the. Mitsubishi 19t outlet? The 122 with the b23et and td04 15g must sit differently to not have a clearance issue, though, the the sump position to the crossmember is stock b20, which would make for a big difference in the red vs white block, given the total length of a 5cyl to a b230 is similar.

Agreed! I tried 18s and they just didn't look right. We had a set of Cougars that we flipped for fun and they where almost perfect although I will be running re barreled ones on the finished project with a little less dish than the flips and adjusting the offset to maintain my track to within 25mm of stock... But I couldn't be happier with the look of them.

Custom hub relates to offset and getting the fitment perfect with wider barrels and as much dish as I can have.

It might be similar but it just doesn't work in this case.
I'd say it would sit very differently! I haven't got a turbo red block to compair but from what I've seen they are mostly mid to high mount which makes all the difference k04 mounts in the opposite direction to the Mitsubishi turbos and having the exhaust housing being part of the manifold I can't flip the manifold upside down and run it higher.

Yep, a redblock turbo sits up close to the Manifold, is there a reason you won't use a p2 xc90 manifold with a v70r exhaust housing and your turbo if they are the same type? Or is the plan to go bigger once engineered anyway so this is simplest? Though the steering shaft is somewhat in the way too...

Ha the plan is to go larger but later on in life( like when I've done the block up to support future mods.

Was thinking one of these opposed to the log manifold.

My visits to turbobricks are very few & far between, not sure where you got that from?
There may be a lot of info there for the US market, it is always good to get some perspective from an Aussie in Australia dealing with the Australian market, besides it seems like @T3rrorbyt3 is doing it his way and it is working rather than doing it the way everyone is telling him it should be done.

Thanks dude! Yeah has been hassle free so far!
Happy to help with any details you require for gearbox and clutch ( just a quick note any clutch for a focus rs mk2 / Volvo t5 m66 combo will fit the whiteblock and clear the 960 bell housing) as for the box a EB falcon t5 box with the deeworks adaptor plate will land the spigot smack bang in the right location and then you just need to machine a bush up to hold the spigot . If it's too short for what you need just throw a longer extension housing on. Hope this helps

Yeah Fritz definitely is doing it his way,like all of us should with each of our builds. Though that's not where I was going with that post.

The reference to the "gearbox parts used" to which I quoted from your post.
Those parts are something Fritz has purchased off the shelf readily available, with the exception of the box mounting bracket. Which for obvious reasons wouldn't be viable for us to ship over here. (Unless I have read this thread completely wrong)
And I've just stumbled across your turbobricks name in post a lot more frequently than I have a lot of other local members that's all. :/
