I like that idea... Thanks gents...

Ideally, for purism purposes, a B6284T would be awesome, but a B6304 would make me happy :-D

Took me awhile...its so hard to make Linky work on mobile , it works for me with a funky black eBay background! Groovy.

Get that 960 wagon and pull the donk , sell the body to VQ or JonBot , they love em ....
Tigabu
Not sure it's still up for grabs...
Vee_Que
The 960 sold already. He's on this forum.
B280 with kjet. John Lane has talked about how to do it on turbo bricks. Or Keep wiring and swap it all in and enjoy a smoother engine and 4 speed auto. Engineering is the expense and hassle on the others.
Tigabu
Yeah, thanks @Vee_Que I have read many articles by John Lane on the V6 and the possibilities. Have talked with @volvodriverman about both permutations. Agree on the engineering hassle...

87 B28e which is kjet but has the later heads with big oil baths for the cams so no more valve train issues is sitting here waiting ;)

Personally I would be going for the later PRV motor...even though I love the oddfire V6 note, the later evenfire motors are nice things and it will all be nearly bolt in apart from the wiring stuff.
Then a bit later you can nail a snail and exponentialise the fun......

Issue with my b280f engined 760 was management somewhere, replaced every sensor etc but it just wouldn't behave. consequently the B28e runs a lot better...certainly after a couple o new head gaskets recently! It'll be the most drop in, I wonder how the b28/280 will run on b27 kjet & if there's enough adjustment in it?

Is it possible to fit B27 carbs to a B280?
Perhaps a dumb question, but I've never had reason to think about it before now.
volvodriverman
Should be they're the same port layout etc.
Tigabu
Shanks gents - weight of opinion, aye
@volvodriverman :-)

So, @Rob and @GT_Paul - tell me more about Yota and SC possumbillytea's for B280...
Vee_Que
Lots of effort. Not worth using the toyota charger. They turbo well anyway.
@volvodriverman what did yours do in the end? Not Rev?

I'd want twins :-)

Where can the S/C fit ? A bit of plumbing can be done , just some cut n shut on elbows and tidy em up for a final weld. Easy peasy lemon .....

Constant intermittent miss, would drop revs then idle wound jump 500rpm or so & it would lurch forwards...also it was gutless compared to the b28.

Until you drive one and hear that beautiful noise *drool*
