Thought I might update this as its been awhile and a lot has changed once again ..
So decided not to do the swap for the 265 pull my finger out and actually get into the 240 to get it back on the road
Motor has been pulled out and put on the stand and I've started cleaning it up and getting ready to replace pretty much everything I can on the car
manual pedals and clutch master have been installed
ive also got a good m46 and all other parts needed for the manual swap.
currently got a flat flywheel off being drilled and machined
the m46 was filthy so gave it abit of love and found out why the overdrive wasn't working not one wire was plugged in and the wires that were there were cut and dodged up terribly like everything on the car it came out of.
now im basically waiting for parts to arrive ive ordered a fair bit already with more to come im sure
new front and rear shocks (only cheap kyb shit but it will do for now)
new front and rear lowered king springs
rocker cover, sump ,exhaust and intake gaskets
cam plug
rear main seal
timing belt kit and water pump
engine mounts
plugs,leads, distributor cap,rotor button
crank angle sensor
02 sensor
all bearings etc associated with swapping from auto to manual
think thats about it probably forgotten something
a lot of the parts were great and probably didn't need replacing straight away but i figured ill do it all while ive got the motor out and then i know when everything is done .
i checked all the pcv system out today and its spotless whoever owned this car before really did look after it you can tell its been regularly serviced and if something needed to be fixed it was fixed properly .
so yeah that's where we are at all the parts should start rolling in soon and ill take pics of the progress as it goes
ive got a K and H cam so deciding which one will go in and would like to get an adjustable cam gear if funds permit ive still got the turbo in the cupboard taunting me but im waiting till mid next year to turbo swap it just focusing on getting it regoed and on the road for now then ill move to the next step at this stage it will be done and on the road by the end of January 2018 at the latest .
