  • B20 Turbo in 142

Im also suprised to not see a better rod ratio on the rods and pistons, rsi even offer stuff for the b20 that will improve that...
I will HPC coat the inlet and exhaust manifolds plus the downpipe.
I plan on fitting a Turbo beenie also.
I still have to fit a port in the inlet manifold for the IAC motor before I can get the manifolds coated

I few pics of the exhaust manifolds. Front brakes and the rose jointed steering arms
I can only suggest NOT ceramic playing the intake runners or manifold. This will keep intake manifold temps higher than with out.

How did you go with the plug leads?
I have a large intercooler in my car and HPC coating the inlet manifold will help prevent heat transfer from the exhaust manifold into the inlet manifold
It will to a point where it actually maintains heat and holds it inside the plenum like an oven. So post cooler the air will be getting heated again.

This is something I advise all customers that are interested in this.

Ceramic plating the exhaust manifold (for the internal flow benefits) and/or better yet titanium heat wrapping the exhaust manifold will have a significantly better heat dissipation abilities than ceramic alone and ceramic coating the intake manifold
Do it your way mate. Bloody awesome build...if mine is half this id be happy. Keen on the specs for the ap adapters for the brakes?
The front stub axles and rear housings were modified by harrop engeneering to accept the brake calipers.
Not really any "specs" to give
Well done Chris! very meet and tidy, what have you done to the front end?

Was going to say the same thing lol
Which lotus where they off of?
Esprit v8?
@Vspeed outstanding build man, I like the interior fluid reservoirs, just like the Volvo C303 :-P

What did you do with the B20 sump/oil pickup when you converted it to upright? Any pics?
What accelerator pedal is in it Chris?
@Vspeed B20's are upright. You use a b20 sump and oil pump when you convert B21-23 to upright
They are Racing Dynamic wheels that were a factory option on Lotus Esprit V8.
The accelerator pedal started life as a early 264 pedal but it's been modified to suit my 142
I'm keeping the wheels.i imported them from the UK and they cost me way too.much when I got them...over 10 years ago now.
I will get them painted a gunmetal grey and use them for a set of slicks

I don't know why I thought it wasn't upright to begin with /facepalm
