I don't even live over there & I live in WA where the majority are robbing barstewards but I could just see that bumperplates needed a little help & may not be as confident as some of us especially when we all know how brutal the Automotive Industry is.
Hope Mark can located that perfect XC90 at a lower price for them.

Thanks to everyone for their input, and advice with me purchasing the right car! I'm pressed for words to fully convey my appreciation to everyone!
Sorry I couldn't post sooner as my head was still an unstable state due to the deep thought over the last couple of days.
I ended up cancelling the contract. The dealer was pretty understanding, and although there was a small fee, I truly feel like Ineasted everyone's time.
I suppose my search continues!! :)

Damn! Was that legal? You have a cooling off period.
I would talk to consumer affairs. There shouldn't be acharge afaik

Yeah it's in the contract as a statutory ruling. Either way, I've learned a lot through this negotiation, and with your help, have put me it good stead for the next one!

There's also a 2010 d5 63000 km on gumtree at a dealer in Cheltenham for $ 33000 drive away
Looks good if you still want the diesel

I think I'm going to take a break from car searching and look again towards the end of June

My brain exploded !!!!

Good to hear you didn't get caught buying a lemon!
Hopefully the right XC90 is within grasp.

Ask that they remove the 'free' warranty from the price of any you see at a dealer.
If you are at all keen I have a mate at Manheim Auctions
She is brilliant. They can act as a helper or advocate if you wish to buy.
They also have a used car showroom with the best cars they buy themselves at good prices I think , haven't looked. You can get notified from their website if a certain car comes up.
Talk to me if you do.

How is everyone doing? My brain still hurts, but just wanted to let you all know that it's slowly recovering! :)

Good here! I'm still loving my $11grand 2004 xc90 2.5T. Had it for about 3 months now. Going to do its first auto trans drain and fill this weekend, clean the ptc valve and install some new engine mounts. Very comfortable, relaxing and practical machine. It's a keeper!
How's the xc90 hunt?
bumperplates
It's a killer!! I veered off course to hunt for a Kluger, and still found it expensive to run and service!
I'm now back into XC90, but I'm afraid that I'll never find the right one, along with being afraid I'll get a massive bill to repair something *gulp*
I'm very confused right now!

Are you a diy technically minded kinda person? If not then maybe a new vehicle with a good warranty and fixed price servicing might be the go. But that obviously comes with a big price tag if you want the big luxurious suv's.
bumperplates
I'm technically minded just not with cars :)
