  • Northern Tasmania Volvo Meet - July 17

Calling on all Tassie Volvo enthusiasts to meet at the next EuroSports Coffee n Cars morning on Sunday July 17 in Launceston at the National Automobile Museum (10.00am to Midday). There is free entry to the Museum and a Coffee van. It's a good morning out, very casual.

I will have the 74' 145 registered and there!

Now who's keen?
Have you tried Coles Car Insurance?

That thing looks special!! Tell us more (if allowed).
It is the worlds only original unrestored 1920's Alfa Romeo race car, one of only a few of the model in existence. First car to do 100 mph in Tasmania. Since you are Tasmanian, you are a part owner due to it being in a public collection. For the fun of it shall I put $5 million in the Coles insurance to see what happens? Market value not tested and it can't be sold, but it is one of the more important cars in Australia that was protected by denial of an export permit - Italy not happy. Poor me, I get to have a look under the bonnet and make it go. If practical I will arrange an exclusive look after the event for those interested Volvo fans that turn up.
Wicked! We're lookin at 6 (possibly 7) so far.
15 days later
I'll put my hand up as a tentative, for my first Tassie event, depending on getting the brakes working and sorting out some electrical / light issues. An early start from way down in the Huon.
Yeah for sure sounds like a good reason to finish my exhaust finally...
I'm definitely keen to come up from Hobart :)
Sounds like we're going to have a good turnout! Anyone know who has the bright orange 850 sedan in tassie? I past one on the way to devonport today from launy and it was coming the other way. Looks very nice. Unsure what variation it is exactly but looked a weapon. I was in the xc90 and both did the passing wave.
I think I've seen that one about. Is that the one with the angel eye head lamps?
I used to own that one, it was originally green and is a T5.
@brock, nice C70. Bring that along!
I may just do that if I get it back together by then, it is only nice from 10 feet though.
What an outstanding piece of motoring history. I only wish I was close enough to come down and take a look.
No volvos on the road.....not sure if i have commitments that Sunday or not but if I'm free I'll try and beg a ride up...
