jamesinc On the weekend I finally put grease on the clutch fork pivot. No more squeaky clutch. Most worthwhile 10 minutes ever. I greased some parts of the throw out bearing where I could reach them, the race where it meets the clutch fork, but it didn't solve the annoying noise it makes above ~2800rpm.
jamesinc Amy passed pink slip again, no issues but brakes very nearly failed. Pedal pressure at 476kN. 550kN is fail threshold. I think it's time for a bleed and IIRC I didn't replace the brake hoses when I restored the car, so might do them too.

What a thorough place, don't think I've ever seen someone do that before.
jamesinc He's not my usual guy. Because the car is on historic plates, I have to take it to one of the (few) pink slip places that actually still have the physical pink slip book, because the Volvo NSW club require the physical piece of paper.
jamesinc Vee_Que;92651 wroteThe club should update.. Not just this club. But I think the issue is actually that the e-Safety Check system used in NSW can't lookup conditionally registered vehicles, so the mechanics have no way to submit it electronically. You'd think you could get a mechanic to just sign a note saying "this car is roadworthy" and that would be good enough.

We could just turn ozvolvo into a proper club and be done with the nsw sporting car club (volvo club)

Sounds like a failing booster or not enough vac at idle or a failing one way valve
jamesinc The pedal isn't hard to press, it's just real spongy. Honestly the hoses have cracks, they need to go either way. If that doesn't solve it I'll keep debugging.

Just saw this pic of old swollen rubber hoses, posted by hiperfauto on Turbobricks - sucksqueezebangblow;92731 wroteThose lines are on my radar. Beep. I'll also be another one of Ash's customers for new lines.
jamesinc I replaced the handbrake system entirely over the holidays. New cables, retainers, springs, and shoes. Cleaned the adjuster etc, it works really well now. Also installed new brake hoses and bled the system.
