oops , i have spoken about this before.....

The MOOG ones even have grease nipples and cost much less. I thought of making up my own from FKW heim joints to have adjustable ones which i will do but the MOOG ones i found in the mean time.

Ash may be doing some endlinks in future , keep watck....

Good luck with the IPD ones , keep an eye on them and send em back if they fail , acyually , email em and tell them , they may just refund you without returning , they are good like that at least.
Alrights. All ordered. Next time i shall use a freight forwarder and buy from Amazon direct since it does work out a bit cheaper again (would've saved me $10-20 easily)

ACDelco/GM BCS ~$70 from above link
ACDelco PT374 ~$20 eBay US
Bosch EV1 plug and wire $8 eBay AU

Now, to get myself some decent silicone hose for it all and await for some packages! Bosch EV1 plug too will allow me to make a harness so I don't have to splice the factory wirings. More to come.....
Excitement!

Now indilge my poor brain , its you doing the carputer?
That I is. Which I will doing very, very, very soon. Since the current head unit is giving me the shits. It's on my list tonight to reassemble and order a PSU for it and SSD.
:-O

perhaps i didn't get enough sleep today. Can someone please simplify this for me.

what should i buy?
The BCS controls the amount of boost going to the turbo and is a weak spot as they can leak and fail.

What you need to buy is a new one. One that works well and works quick.

The above should be a pretty quick and painless mod for more constant boost pressure across the range and holds it too.

That make sense? Can be done for around a hundred dollars. Something I've been meaning to do ever since I've had my car.
Yes , ok. thanks.
Its the little valve body that hangs on the back left on the air cleaner box and has 5mm? tubes that go to the vacuum tree and to the wastegate actuator . the GM one is the good strong recomended replacement and can be had at varying prices , maybe LT - Mike can get a better supplier as eBay only has the exxy ones for some reason and Amazon wont ship outside USA....
Replace all those 5mm? maybe 4mm tubes as well as part of STAGE 0. If you run a MBC screw valve you stop the cars BCS ( boost Control Solenoid ) / TCV from doing its thing. Any tune done to the ECU will control the BCS/TCV so no worries there. A Greddy or turbosmart electronic boost controller can be done if you want to have , say a swith for a different release pressure on the wastegate , gets expensive and why not just leave the ECU to do it simply...
even better. thanks

I do apologise Dan , i had been slack in writing all this up , funnily enough , i am now so knackered it hurts but i am remembering all these links ! Matt Szbanga is the dudes name , i got linked with him on Linkdin so it trggered me brain!!
haha all good. I'll know for next time ;)
Ex850R;7565 wrote I dont hate it.
I didn't mean that you did, I've read it on VS too ;)

Endlinks have been fine for me (once again I've only put 20,000k's on them though).
Researching around the internets, looks like the standard boost hose size was 5.5mm. But can use anywhere between that and 4mm for a snug fit apparently.
i went a bit crazy with hoses and bought 3,4 and 5mm

stock hoses on the S60 are not all the same size.
I'll report back when the TCV arrives and I fit it.
Yeah , the endlinks i had were on two cars , transferred when i changed cars so i dont know how many Ks but the STD volvo ones last 150,000K at least , mine , maybe 40,oooK at most? When talking to a reseller here in VIC , he said most of them failed and he was reporting it to IPD. Just not good enough , i could have gotten the cheapo ones and had two sets if they had of failed , i dont know why they still sell them......MOOG , get em at ROCKAUTO , have a look at ROCKAUTO , its a midnblowing site of wonderous parts you never imagined !!
Rockauto is pretty neat. Shipping is usually too expensive unless you are buying a lot of things (they've got the BCS too..... It ain't cheap :P ). Standard Volvo endlinks on mine were well and truly rooted at 165,000. I'd assume they've been like that for a while (all 4 joints were so loose).
