What a bargain then!? How's the interior looking?
Is the special sound system they have in Cs working well?
The speakers are Dynaudio branded , a step up from the std ones even though they made them for Volvo too. Plus the big Alpine amp up back somewhere and it should pump!

Yeah it has speakers, amps, subs and all sorts of shit everywhere. It really is an exceptional factory sound system. My only gripe is the stupid 3 cd changer thing, may have been great in 1996, but i hate it. I would love to replace the head unit with an 816 or something similar but am afraid i will lose sound quality, and i don't want to do that.

The Dolby surround sound it has is a separate box somewhere I discovered this just recently. So any other unit just needs to have the same input/outputs on the back and I think my unit 1998 V70 has those on the back so you should be ok. There is a guy on the volvo club site wrecking a silver S70T , it may have the right radio you need. I have emailed him and asked about stuff. Either you get to into him or I can ask. Its in the for sale bit.page 2 I think.

In these pictures it almost looks as if the the new paint colour is slightly off compared to the bootlid and panel under the tail light. I think that is just the lighting in the shed, it looks perfect in the flesh.

Rob , did you end up emailing Lucky at ARD? Or you could call him on night shift I spose! Wondering what you are going to go for with the C , just a boost or a rocket!? An R exhaust Mani ,later type is a good torque boost.

I emailed him and was ready to order but obviously things are slightly different now. Will have to get in touch with him again. I want to go as far as i can without the need for major rebuilds and huuuge $$$.

Get the tune , mani and the better turbine wheels , exhaust and really only shifter bushes and short shift kit and you should be happy. I may go to sleep now....we shall see.....

Still no sleep . Is there any mod you can do to the gearbox , gears etc? Its not something I have looked into. Clutch is R one ?

Clutch is 'R' . I am going to run the gearbox as is for now and see how it goes. Really should have an LSD at a minimum.

Was the R one a quaife? Whatever was in my manual R made little difference. I suppose some compared to my S70T5 auto but not enough , great tyres are the go....Pilot Sport 3s..

From what I have read the 850R factory LSD-ish setup is average. There are options available for a good LSD but they are expensive. I may need one at some stage but there are other things i want to do first.

Not sure, i can't see it making a huuuge difference but all of the US blokes reckon it is the way to go. Improves throttle response and top end power apparently.
The throttle is significantly bigger so i guess it is possible.
I am doing some reading on NA cams also, can't decide if its worth fitting some of those too.

All the words are that you need to buy a Gripper LSD, not a Quaife (or a Phantom Grip, which people seem to assume you are talking about when you say "Gripper").

I thought you used the TB off a 960/S90 or maybe even an XF Falcon one , the NA mani gives better low down response.
