Kangaroos Team B234 16V turbo exhaust manifold now available to order
I have asked if they have any pictures fitted in an engine bay
Will be interesting to see how much room there is for downpipe clearance
Downpipe clearance will vary, IMHO, depending on what it's fitted in, and if it's slanted or upright.
Hoping this will work in the 142; if not, it'll go into Project R-Ute.
It'll be close to the ABS module on a 940.
nugget_940 let us know what the response is. I'm curious of that too, although a 3" downpipe might fit ok. Anything bigger might get a little cozy. TBH, anything bigger might struggle with boost creep anyway.

Looking at the photo, it's poking up so far in the air that stuff like downpipe clearance issues would be adjustable depending on the pipe-making skills of the downpipe maker?
I'd need a diagram to understand why you couldn't fit at least the same sized downpipe as any turbo fitted on that side of the engine ... or are you thinking the header itself could be in the way of the downpipe & that the downpipe needs to snake closer to the block than those headers will allow?
edit
OK yeah I see what you mean, seems others in wrong-hand-drive countries have run the dump OVER the header and there's potentially some clutchy & brakey stuff back there ...
I think you could do a 90 degree bend straight off the back of the turbo and that would clear the brake master. Manifold is pretty compact so shouldn't be hard to snake the downpipe on past the steering shaft as well
Just got notice that mine's being shipped via DHL. Pics will go up when it arrives.
@Major Ledfoot I'm particularly interested in the straight edge test across the flanges, I seem to recall some of the earlier Kangaroos 8V castings had warping and needed to be machined flat.
jamesinc - Didn't know that! IIRC the early 8V castings had port alignment errors and were recalled.
Something to check when mine arrives.
any updates? im keen to see one on a rhd car
penta242gt I got notice that it was being shipped from Europe about a week ago.
Pics when it arrives.
awesome
Mine has just arrived this morning. I have yet to take pics of it, but here's a few from somebody on TurboBricks who posted them in a thread I started.
Pix follow. @jamesinc - I don't have a straight edge to check for sure, but the gasket faces all appear to be okay.
The package also came with hardware for the wastegate cover, bolts, and a lot of "Kangaroos Team" stickers.
Not to Hijack a thread but a GT 3076 with an .86 rear is a serious turbo for a 2.3!
For context this is a HKS equivalent of a 3076 .86 its a big turb
