Hi Guys, I am currently trying to get my jap import 850R registered and as part of the process I have to show them the child anchor restraint points. Do you guys know where they are or do I have to buy the points and instal them?
Child anchor restraint points 96 850R Wagon
IIRC in the wagon you find them on the back of the seat back, near where the seat back meets the floor of the boot.

I thought this point behind the seats may have been it? Sort of just under the roof line.

Those are the mounts for the load barrier, I think you'll be best looking for Jimbo's T5-R thread as he imported it from the UK and needed to do the same.
Get a photo of the seat back all the way from the headrest to the floor; I have a recollection that they are in there...
At the centre bottom of the left & right hand side seats
97 T5 wagon is in the back of the rear seats. From memory there is a black bung you un screw and reveals the threaded anchor point.
The Jap imports don't have them installed but you can feel the hole through the seat backrest. You'll need to cut the carpet and thread in the restraint mount which was still available new from Volvo or you'll need to get used ones.
Thanks so much guys. I will have to feel around for it and get the mount in there. I don’t want to do it to be honest but the guy won’t comply it without it.
Just had a look at mine , picture for ya
You can just fix them in the spare wheel well, don't have to be in factory position just be "there" so to speak, it was good enough for my compliance, I gave my car to a "specialist" compliance company and that's what they did, I did get away with a few things though like open cone filter and Porsche brakes etc, sometimes it's worth paying the "experts" that use their "experts" to get the paperwork through
