Hi all, my son and I are new to this site. We’re after an ECC for a 96 850 R. From our limited diagnosis we think the ECC has died. We only recently purchased the car and knew the AC didn’t work. The middle harness was disconnected upon investigation.

With it reconnected, the blower runs on full speed and we have no lights at the REC or AC switches. None of the damper motors move when commanded either. We’ve checked all the fuses and tested the blower motor resistor to the best of our ability with our multimeter comparing the results to another forums info.

Any recommendations to purchase or fix the ECC would be greatly appreciated.

    Have you pulled it apart to look at the circuit board?

    There may be a dry solder joint there

    That and ABS problems caused by the above I have found

        Yeah, we did pull it apart. It looked immaculate, but we don’t have a trained eye to pick up what we’re looking for.
