Just figuring it out myself but it plugs into some radios and enhances the sound some how. I just need to figure out whether it works on my SC-815

Maybe I'll just get one and plug it in to see what happens. Haha

What does your audio system consist of? Have you got a amp and what changer did you say you're using?

Edit: I remember you have the amp I'd like in my own car (6816302) so just need to find one.

Sorry for the late reply...... when I got the car it had an after market Philips DVD double din and the loom was all spliced everywhere , since then I've gone through 2 clarion and one alpine HU's . Now I'm running the oem HU into an aftermarket 5 channel amp that's Bluetooth compatible . Quite handy having the Bluetooth for Google maps.

Remove your radio and see it has the connection on the back. Its designed to work with the centre speaker in the V70/C70 range. It doesn't do much unless you have the centre speaker.

TL_V70 ah OK, that makes sense then.

I'll grab a amp instead as I don't have a centre speaker. What does the the Dolby connector look like because it looks like it plugs into the amp port?

Would you happen to have an amp for sale?

From memory the connection is similar or the same as the 6 stacker port. I am pretty sure it had Dolby stamped into the metal on the back of the radio.

No sorry I don't have an amp forsale. Check under the driver seat I am pretty sure thats where they live. If the car had premium sound it should be there.

Yeah, the dolby connection looks similar to the amp connector which is different to the cd changer connection? I think!!

So the amp was mounted behind the radio on this model, c70 and later models was under the seat (from my reading). Now to find an amp!! :-)

PARTS COLLECTION:

I've been piecing together headlight parts:
- Wiper kit
- Electric headlight adjuster (not even sure if the wiring is in the car to make this plug and play? - I'm assuming No)

Volvo Guard 2 parts:
- Pretty sure i just need to get fobs & program it to the black relay i just purchased
- Horn and dash sensor on their way.

rado Mine seems very conservative at 10psi on this gauge or do i factor in atmospheric pressure or anything like that? Silly question but worth asking haha

Is that with the standard ecu or the new one (tune) ? Does seem a bit low even for the standard .. how's your wastegate actuator rod ?

ok, I need to dig deeper and get a better understanding of what's going on and what I may need to check over.

Feels good, pulls really strong so I was surprised with the 10psi result 🤔

What should I be looking for regards the waste gate rod? Guessing no slack?

Yep basically no slack , just don't adjust it when it hot as not much room down there .

I checked the rod and feels tight but i think a proper test is make sure the diaphragm isn't leaking and also setting it properly using a pump?

TURO Updates:
I set the actuator PSI & checked for leak off over a period of a few hours and all seems fine. I would the nut in 0.5 turns clockwise and noticed the boost was higher (13psi) but would come on a lot later so i reverted back to 10psi and its more manageable. Less torque steer etc.

Whilst i was in there i changed out the upper engine mounts and ordered a new firewall bushes & noted all the new clips i need to order for the brake and fuel lines.

AUDIO:

I sourced a the correct radio that would have come in this car from factory (from my research at least). I'm currently running a 850R radio. Turns out the SC-801 i bought didn't come with a code so i can't use it 🙁
Anybody got a SC-801 with code for sale?

Retrimmed the speaker meshes with new foam as the old foam had deteriorated:

I purchased later style dynaudio speakers from a c70 & adapted them to the front tweeter bases (my old cones were falling apart) Unfortunately new of the used dynaudio speakers i got don't work and don't even display a resistance value when i check the pins :-(
Anybody with speaker options for sale let me know, plug and play with oem look preferable.

jamesinc yeah, I read this thread today. That's an insane amount of time and patience 😳

The actuator should be set at around 4psi, the tcv will control boost after that, that's the way it's designed and mapped in the ECU

Jamest5r_ where did you get this info from as I read it was meant to be 1.8psi.

Also of I adjust it to 4psi what differences should I see? Later boost, more boost, lag?

Depths of my memory, had my T5R for 18yrs and many many tuning stages, I could be wrong though, the 1.8psi your thinking of was for the low pressure turbo I believe, again I could be wrong
