rado Yeah, It's a nice touch and completes the car. I'm still hunting and gathering every day. A little obsessive but will come to an end soon enough (mainly due to me having gathered everything haha)

TUNED ECU:

I managed to get my hands on a tuned ECU from VP tuning who had a quick look over the vac hoses and related equipment to ensure it was ok to install. It's totally changed the car - basically a Stage 2 MTE tune but I'd like to get my hands on some graphs or figures for this particular tune because it boogies now :-)

Pulls much harder, boost is higher and sounds even better under load.

850 MATS & SPARE WHEEL LINER:

Jumping around jobs a little here but hoping to touch on some mechanical jobs within the next week.
Since i had the products and sprays i gave the mats and recently sourced liner some attention. I also sourced a kit to turn my Karcher pressure washer into a lance free setup.

ELECTRIC TERMINAL INSULATORS:

I've been slowly working through some electrical connections on my T-5R, 3D printing a mould & making my own new weatherproof seals. Trialing loctite as it's oil and heat resistant but need to make the walls thicker.

How does everyone else get around this?

TAILLIGHT/BOOT JOBS:

The right taillight was replaced with a new section so i installed some used ones to match the left. I think the aged ones looked better imo, the indicator & reverse lens had a nicer shade!! haha

Also replaced blown bulbs, tidied up wiring, replaced relevant clips, trims etc. & clean :-)

TRACS/ABS & PARK BRAKE:

My TRACS & ABS lights randomly come on when driving, I've pulled the codes from the OBD port:

My first thought it to go clean and inspect all the speed sensors and rings, i got carried away in here and cleaned everything as well as fix the RL hand brake cable which was seized - cleaned, adjusted shoes with further adjustments at the hand brake lever.

I carried out a resistance check on the front sensors (not sure if this was the correct method of testing?) and also tried connecting a voltmeter to the sensor when fitted, spun the hub with ignition on but didn't get any A/C readings.

Any tips for properly testing/checking the speed sensors are working?? Step by step guide?

You could use an oscilloscope to read the signal when the wheel is moving, otherwise just a resistance test. The only failed one I had on my 850 turned out to be a wiring issue near the sensor.

What resistance should I expect to see on the sensor? Guess it should be unplugged for the test??

Tune is going great. The guy who tuned the ECU (voldat) said it's OK to just plug into a stock T-5R. He did some vacuum checks to ensure my system was OK and then gave it the tick of approval.

It's going great and has a serious jump in power.but I'll be keeping an eye on things and see what bits I can replace as preventative maintenance.

I must research the injectors colours/ meanings. What do you run or what price are they?

I'm on green injectors with my tune . Do see 18 psi from time to time , others here do to more than 20 etc , probably worth getting a boost gauge mate .

rado Mine seems very conservative at 10psi on this gauge or do i factor in atmospheric pressure or anything like that? Silly question but worth asking haha

ENGINE OIL:

I serviced the engine over the space of 2 days in the following stages:

Day 1:

After a decent drive to heat things up and slush things about I added Liqui Moly (LM) to the existing oil and drained along with the oil filter as per instructions

Oil came out pretty dark, so I used some spare new Nulon 10W-40 oil I had on the shelf to refill the engine & fitted new genuine filter.

Day 2:

Had a fun drive around country Victoria, came home and immediately drained the oil and filter, refilled with new LM oil

TRACS/ABS Continued:

All error codes have been wiped and system seems happy but I must check that the ABS is working somehow. On a closed road of course!!

The sensor clean and brake pedal position sensor replacement seems to have done the trick 😳💪

SUNROOF TRIM:

the previous owner managed to get a stock 850 sunroof interior trim but it wasn't flocked. Turns out all 850 T-5R trims are flocked from factory so I had mine dropped off to Flock Finishers of Dandenong. I'd highly recommend them.

CD CHANGER:
Installed a period correct Compact Disc Changer sorted out the factory fitted wiring harness right back to the radio. Also had to adjust the internal anti shock spring orientation to suit the horizontal mounted position. It was previously set to the vertical mount orientation.

Now to fit the Amp bracket, and amp.
Does anybody know if the SC-815 accepts a Dolby unit that also plugs into the AMP port at the rear of the radio?

What's a Dolby unit ? Not heof that one . Excuse my ignorance..

Just figuring it out myself but it plugs into some radios and enhances the sound some how. I just need to figure out whether it works on my SC-815

Maybe I'll just get one and plug it in to see what happens. Haha

What does your audio system consist of? Have you got a amp and what changer did you say you're using?

Edit: I remember you have the amp I'd like in my own car (6816302) so just need to find one.

Sorry for the late reply...... when I got the car it had an after market Philips DVD double din and the loom was all spliced everywhere , since then I've gone through 2 clarion and one alpine HU's . Now I'm running the oem HU into an aftermarket 5 channel amp that's Bluetooth compatible . Quite handy having the Bluetooth for Google maps.

Remove your radio and see it has the connection on the back. Its designed to work with the centre speaker in the V70/C70 range. It doesn't do much unless you have the centre speaker.

TL_V70 ah OK, that makes sense then.

I'll grab a amp instead as I don't have a centre speaker. What does the the Dolby connector look like because it looks like it plugs into the amp port?

Would you happen to have an amp for sale?
