Dash is bolted back in, passenger airbag back in, cabin filter changed, cowel panel back in, cluster is back in, just putting the remaining screws back in the dash top. and putting aside broken plastic bits so that I can organise replacements.

Everything is back together and works fine, however I do now have the SRS light on which is pretty annoying considering I had the battery disconnected during the whole dash in-out process.

Does that need an OBD scanner to kill it or on VADIS?

I have an ODB2 scanner but it's something that Berrys or a dealer will have to sort out.
Could possibly be as I dont have the console and ODB2 interface connector plugged in, but I wouldnt have thought so. I'll re-check the connector on the back of the passenger side airbag, but now it needs to be reset anyway.

You could drop into George Bellinghams workshop at the top end of High St, he'll have the right gear and know how. He charged me $20 to reset lights, etc. back in the day plus he's a great bloke. He used to be the local Volvo head mechanic.

George is a good dude. I havent seen him in a while though. I'll double check the passenger side airbag tomorrow and then visit George in the week. He's closeby so worth a visit.

When ever I took my old R to him he'd spend at least half an hr talking Volvo crap with me. He also helped sell my R, he kept it in his shop and put it out everyday for more exposure. Turns out it sold from carsales though.

Since the car is here and it was bugging me, I just went out and pulled the dash top off again, disconnected the passenger side airbag and reconnected - listened for the audible 'click' of the connector - and refitted the dash top.
I also fitted the under glove box cubby I picked up last week.

A bit more googling also confirms that VS wisdom is sometimes like TB wisdom. This link from Volvoforums in the UK is probably more useful and insightful.

So I'll play with this solution first and then run it over to George if I cant clear the light.

Tried both solutions from the UK website. Same issue but happy that I pulled the dash again - peace of mind.
Will whiz over and see if George can sort me out in the week - might even get him to swap my ABS/TRACS module and give myself a free day.

Did you remember to bolt the earth strap to one of the bolts above the glove box? I found mine would hide amongst everything and was easily forgotten.

If you have the right cable (I think mine is a VAG-COM) you can clear the light with the VOL-FCR software, it will also read codes from the seats, climate control and ABS which is handy.

Done that. I think that maybe the white pass airbag plug wasn't fully home in its socket.

Most of the dash all back together. Waiting on the centre console, handbrake boot and console lid.

New bonnet is the right colour and not bent. Will look really good with a good wash which I may do tomorrow.

Interesting detail tidbit.
Between 850 and S70/V70, naming conventions changed very slightly.

On the rear of an 850T5, the 'T5' bit is actually labelled (on the badge) as T-5.
On the rear of a S70T5 or V70T5, the 'T5' bit is labelled (on the badge) as T5

So, I noticed the other day that some heathen has broken my 'T5' badge on the back of the V70. I also noticed that I have a new-in-bag T5R badge here.
My badge, upon recovering it from the depths of a drawer, is a T-5R badge and style is very slightly different to the back of the V70 - I wonder if it'll annoy me enough not to fit it?
