I have a white C70 coupe as well, there aren't many around.
Facebook find - R Design 09' AWD Auto S40 T5 (Bonus S70 & C70 pics)
timboHere's my 2 cents on P1 mods...
Brakes are the same as used on the xr5 so lots of options. I run project Mu and I'm pretty happy with them
Front shocks are same as fwd, they just have a strut top spacer on the AWD models
AWD rear shocks are longer and have a thicker lower mounting bush + use a different top shock mount ( angled towards rear of car to clear driveshaft, but seperate to shock)
Hilton 2.5+ tune can get 195kw out of the stock ko4 I personally don't think a hybrid turbo is worth it, most figures out of the UK are fairly optimistic, and a local xr5 with hybrid has made less than 10kw more on the same dyno.
I usually recommend people keep the torque limit on the autos and add an auxillary cooler, they're fairly reliable if serviced.
I recommend the Whiteline anti lift kit for LCA makes a big difference to steering feel, without being too stiff
I fitted some eibach lowering springs to my brother's v50 T5 and they were terrible, so wouldn't recommend them.
Standard maintenance for the age would usually be engine mounts, shocks, LCA's , all coolant hoses, coolant reservoir, turbo solenoid and steering column lock can fail.
Thats awesome info Tim thanks heaps champ.

I am also looking for replacement seat skins for the drivers 'off white leather' ( or is it actually Quartz Beige?) for my 2005 S40. Any ideas??

The likes of Berry Motor Group usually have so many seats available it's cheaper to replace whole seats or see a leather repair guy or buy the kit and do it yourself.

So just replaced TCV with new unit a spare from the WRX which i didn't install, upon visual inspection is direct replacement for oem Pierburg excluding the plastic sleeve retainer into the bracket, so work around was two cable ties to secure to original TCV bracket. The Job took alot longer as didn't have long needle nose plier set and was fighting the limited space.
Thanks to @timbo for the advice. Took it down the road for quick spin and definately an improvement in throttle response, boost pressure and goes alot better overall, the old unit was tired and well worn.

Do they Dim slowly after you close the door or just hard off?
A few more things done, coolant reservoir and centre speaker located Carplay multimedia unit.
The 27mm rear sway bar is a fantastic upgrade with very noticeable corning improvements particularly with helping reduce understeer and greatly reduced body roll. Whilst the overall stifeness of the car has increased significantly the increase in harshness is very mild which i was very suprised at.
Next on the cards is new inner and outer tie rods and front endlinks.
Coolant Reservoir:

Shift Blind:
Was broken in many pieces and found bonus $2.50.

CarPlay Navigation unit:
Experienced alot of issues with installtion of this one, product arrived with no instructions, took me a while to figure out the unit needed seperate ACC switch to turn on/off but was advertisded as plug and play. Hard wired into cig lighter and had to extend the cable to reach. The suppied AUX 3.5mm to L/R RCA male was too short and tricky to route through had to drill hole through the rear storage compartment, drink retrackable cover, handbrake, riun along side the tranmission shifter and up through the waterfall console only to find cable too short so had to redo with a new spare i had on hand (1.5m length).
The centre housing moulding just had X 4 slotted spike feet that sit in the grooves with no screw hole into original centre speaker so had to use generous amount of doubled sided 3M tape. Got there in the just need sort out the 3.5mm female connector as the cable when fully seated only has sound coming from the left or right you have to only insert it slightly for the L/R channels to work but because its loose will cut in and whilst driving hopefully i can fix with just a new male to female adaptor or might change to a new original 3.5mm input jack.
Overall though its been worth the setbacks, the sound quality is much improved, you can essentially run any android app on in it and obviously modernises the driving experience, this unit also accepts the 360 degree birds eye view camera input so might be a future option.
One other thing just remembered only the volume control works on the steering wheel so to skip tracks have to use Siri or control via the unit which is not a huge deal, there is steering programming learning control app but it doesn't work, might have to buy a CANBUS unit but not sure if can be bothered.

New front T3 rotors and Project MU pads. Purchased rear T3's as awaiting the pads and will do flush and new Motul brake fluid. Much improved pedal feel, intial bite and improved stopping power.

X 5 OEM coils and plugs, solved the enging misfire check engine codes, engine feels more responsive.

Swapped out the fan assembly with alot of struggles with airbox removal, eventually got it out by removing RHS engine and engine jacked for more clearance. Next battle was the oil tranmisson cooler the press clips gave me alot of grief. I'm learning quickly that you need the right tools to begin with otherwise will to continue to struggle.
Next issue the connector pin from the replacement came push in and was not making contact, was recoverable with being gentle with pliers.
Gave it a quick wash after coolant top up and noticed some white smoke on idle and went for quick sprited drive seemed okay fan was working parked it up as was end of day.
Following day misses calls and says car shut off with blinking check engine, pop hood and very low coolant and coolant splashes around reservoir, check Vida says multiple misfires and catalyst issue. Top up coolant and restart and tailpipe is blowing alot of white smoke. Blown head gasket gremlin on 220K apparently well serviced motor (via log books) at leat i can salvage the timing kit including water as just done 4K from previoius owner.
Damn.
See if Mark has found any good used motors, you get a proper warranty with BMG stuff , as in,they WILL honour it...
