I found a bulk supply online, way way cheaper than car shops.

I found a bulk supply online, way way cheaper than car shops.

I'm dealing with bulk suppliers but there is a huge variance in quality

The latest batch was this stuff

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/353535283234

The aluminum layer is thinner than I would like but just acceptable...

I made a little bit of room in the container... so the Sub box is going into it for the moment .... box building is taking a backseat for a little while... TBH most of the project is taking a backseat...

I'm in USA for a little while in December so going to pick up another one of the Jensen 4ch Amps

prob in jan going to have more time... for the moment... the HU is going in this weekend with an Alpine Power Pack (45x4) amp at the front as well just to have anything....

Building product aluminium tape is Kool stuff too....

    a month later

So while in USA I did get a second 4 channel so will BI amp the front speakers and start with bi amping the rear speakers as well

Today I started on the pass side door

I pulled out the window and dead regulator (regulator was proper fucked)

Then started on the noise deadener

The entirety of the inside of the outer panel is done

I reinstalled the new regulator and glass and tested and confirmed a working window

Have started on the inner panel as well but gave up from lighting

I'll finish it in the AM

I'm also going to pull out the entire interior...

    So I can

    1. Do sound deadening on the roof

    2. Run RCA from HU to rear

    3. Run the speaker cables from speakers to rear

    4. Run remote turn on

    5. Run 1/0 from alt/battery to rear

    6. Install the renogy 50amp dc-dc converter

    7. Install one of the 200ah lifepo4 battery's

    8. Install the Kenwood 1000w rms amp

    9. Install the 2 Jensen amps

    10. Install a 1/0 to ground

    11. Appropriate power fusing and ground distribution and ground hookup

    12. Hook everything up

    13. Start with single 10" sub

    14. Not forget to do the floor with sound deadening

    15. Install a radio so there is sound

      Starting this process on 240....

It's amazing how much difference there is to be honest

Not done any foam yet, that's round 2 if I ever get to it

          BIT O RTV will fix?

Always wondered if pond sealer is good deadener , its bitumin like. In a paintable form.

With your dc-dc do you need anything more to power the lipo battery? A controller?

I'm putting 3 amps in and have battery/alternator welding cable installed back to the boot going to a junction box, fused. Might do similar to you.
