Carefully.

I'm thinking the hose on back of P80 head HAS to be Volvo or it fails.

Is this such a hose?

I don't think so mate , it's at the front . That big black hose in the picture goes from thermostat / head to radiator

It's the airbag that goes off all by itself dealer recall.

I just got another reminder to do the seatbelt on the P3, the explosive link you sit on inadvertently when you climb in can go off by itself too.

      Bloody cars are dangerous!

OK I don't give this car the credit it deserves , as I just bought it for a to b while the R is off the road.

Doesn't sound much but done a little trip yesterday , upto Freo then into Perth then home around 130kms . TBH we were holding our breath wife and myself but not a problem.

Still not fixed the lack of cam sensor , gives it a starting problem big time sometimes ? thinking it maybe worth sorting now , starting to like the ole horse. Very comfortable by the way ??

It'll go great til the auto dies. Enjoy it til it does, they are really nice otherwise. Really top notch seats

Auto will take ages to die too and be pretty obvious about it don't don't worry about that stranding you until the shifts get flarey/it clunks into gears

Yeah it's a nice ride for sure , comfortable and quiet . Gear wise , very smooth ?

Finally fitted a new heater matrix to this yesterday and now have the luxury of heating. Bit of a task but it's done yey .
The old one was pretty clogged up

Well , decided while driving home Friday I don't really need this anymore and drive the 850 rather than keep it in a shed . Put it up for sale on the local Volvo fb and it went one day later .
        Hopefully a good decision...
        Bye bye xc

        Mmmmm.
Only thing is parts for P80 are unobtainable now.

I like the idea of driving older cars , I have a work van as well so it still won't be used everyday

Not all, but there's a few odds and ends that are hard to source, for sure.

Whatcha got for a work van?
I'm interested as I'm seriously contemplating getting a van for bicycles, motorbikes and sleeping in at the track every now and then. I currently know nothing about vans.

My experience with older ford transit vans wasn't great

It's a company van , been driving a transit , but last month changed to an Iveco daily , I'll take a picture tomorrow , it's huge . HR licence to drive this one apparently . First automatic van I've ever driven as it goes. And to be honest it's a nice drive . Towing capacity beats the transit hands down .
