If the strut tops are that bad I would get some front shocks for it too! No point doing the job twice also what are those wire taps for?

Yeah I see your point of saying change the shocks as well , I was looking earlier as it goes at some kind of cheap kits . Been trying to get the heater to blow hot the last hour . Every hose is hot except the return hose from the matrix. Damn matrix ?

Oh wires not a clue atm ..

OK front suspension , last weekend I was going to email our Legend Ash for suspension parts but I bloody ended up of ebay and just ordered cheap parts to get the car moving for now . This lot arrived Wednesday

Shocking ? . I'll get four tyres next week . Just went for a drive and the steering wheel has straighted up and smooth as . Thats it for this , no thrills just a workhorse . Now finally time to get the 850 in the shed and strip it down ?

After a couple of months trouble free the last week I've noticed I'm loosing water coolant. I've checked all hoses and come to some kinda conclusion it's the reservoir cap . Luckily I have a brand new one for the 850 so I put that on and will see how it goes.

Some bad news, parked in a car park yesterday and came back to this

Is P80 cap same value for pressure as the P1?

Check coolant isn't leaking through into the gearbox cooler inside the radiator, it happens and wrecks gearbox.

Finally , just as I pulled in the driveway a water hose gave way and lost all coolant this morning . Luckily it's not a major hose but tucked behind the top big hose . I have some spare water hose so it was a free fix

No dripping and holding fluid , happy days. I should have taken a picture of the hose that came off , very perished . Not an easy hose to spot as it goes but done now fingers crossed ..

I don't think so mate , it's at the front . That big black hose in the picture goes from thermostat / head to radiator

It's the airbag that goes off all by itself dealer recall.

I just got another reminder to do the seatbelt on the P3, the explosive link you sit on inadvertently when you climb in can go off by itself too.

OK I don't give this car the credit it deserves , as I just bought it for a to b while the R is off the road.

Doesn't sound much but done a little trip yesterday , upto Freo then into Perth then home around 130kms . TBH we were holding our breath wife and myself but not a problem.

Still not fixed the lack of cam sensor , gives it a starting problem big time sometimes ? thinking it maybe worth sorting now , starting to like the ole horse. Very comfortable by the way ??

Auto will take ages to die too and be pretty obvious about it don't don't worry about that stranding you until the shifts get flarey/it clunks into gears

Finally fitted a new heater matrix to this yesterday and now have the luxury of heating. Bit of a task but it's done yey .
The old one was pretty clogged up

rado just did the same on my 850R , it still had the original heater core , hoses , clips & O rings.
To many horror stories on the forums of them blowing so did a huge buy from. FCP Euro of every single part needed to replace the lot from engine bay to under dash , wasn't cheap but then cooking a motor is much worse as if a hose or core blows if you dont turn the motor off straight away it'll cook the head the the block.
