Cool. Definitely needs to be lower. Not a huge fan of the wheels but lower may help with that.

Of course! I wasnt thinking about the AWD rack. Having an engine mount actually on the FWD rack is hilarious.

Great to hear that Owens Turbo was a great investment! What PSI are you pushing it to?

I agree with Ash as i also had that light steering feel on the C70 but it was more pronounced at lower speeds.

Swapping out the PS pump fixed that annoying groan and tighten up the steering feel.

Machine out to 68mm. I'll email you with the most current fitting guide.
The groan is usually pump but you can make it sound a bit better by dumping all the fluid, refilling and bleeding (though it's hardly a 'bleeding' process!)

I used the fwd rack in mine and just hacked the mount off.

I wonder if that would fix the noises on our 4Runner; it's got an intermittent groan/rumble on full lock that actually shakes the floorpan a bit... Delz is certain CV joints, but I'm not as they aren't rotating (manual hubs and proper transfer case) and we do have a leaky PS pump/system.

yep. In fact if you look at an AWD rack you can see the saw marks where the mount has been chopped off.

Ah, kool.
So, save for the Mount/bracket, the racks are the same and you have the same ratio as well as feel and feedback? (ignoring the increase in NVH from an engine mount on the rack and differences in wheel alignment settings)

I'm running the same boost as was tested on the dyno, being 22.5psi which tends to drop off the 18.5psi around redline.
I may try swapping out the power steering pump to see if that makes any difference to the feel of the steering. certainly easier than changing the rack.

So you have some HP left on the table then, especially with your built motor.

Finally BBK installed! Plenty of rim clearance even with the 17" rim.

Massive improvement in initial bite and stopping power over stock setup, very happy with the upgrade.

Do they dim?
I will do this bit geez , I have mine dimmed right down or I am too distracted.
Dont get me started on modern car centre stacks not dimming at all , Toyota is worst....

Yep they sure do dim, this was shot with my fancy SLR camera where i slowed the shutter speed right down to capture alot of light giving the ultra brightness impression, in reality its about half of the brightness on the highest dimmer setting.

I used these LED bulbs (took me ages to search on Ebay to find them!)

These LED bulb type gives the best light bandwidth/angle that i've used and I've experimented abit.

I downside is that they will not bolt in directly as they are abit wider then standard bulb, what i found easiest was to remove the plaster transparent case and take out the middle speedo ( two Phillips screws) to gain access and insert the bulbs that way.

Got these to install soon, they are the Odysseus 18 X 8 ET55 and 63.4 CB.

They are at the local engineering shop to getting the hubs bored.

Got the spacers and extended wheel bolts on order not cheap!

Wheels were standard on the v70 T6 2008 and S80.

Some pics to indicate what they will look like.

will look nice but car will not be road worthy with spacers fitted, just another insurance issue
