Cool. Definitely needs to be lower. Not a huge fan of the wheels but lower may help with that.

I like them Les, my local machinist is a top bloke and the cheapest i reckon in Sydney. He done the DVS 320mm BBK drill and tap, machining for several 19T/20T turbo conversions for a song.

$80 for X 4 wheels!

Some say that some tyre shops drill and bore for the Holden/ford crowd , maybe a wheel place. I haven't been a fan of 5 spokes but these in charcoal or satin black maybe good.

I really like yours now that look at them in yer pic's , particularly the 850 one.
I thought 225/40/18 to keep similar overall size to stock 16s , I found a cheap Michelin PS3 off a BMW x something or other and put it on one of my two other 18" wheels (which need machining..) I will use as spare. The tyre looks good on it , I will photograph later.

Yeah 225/40/18's is what im going to put on, PS3 are a brilliant all round tire.

So finally got some lowered springs (IPD and Bilstein Touring all around).

Also did an impulse ebay buy on the Propus 17's listed on the radar section.

Other mods to date include a larger exhaust tip and R manifold which i haven't fitted yet.

Looking for genuine Bosch Greens injectors (currently have whites) and replace the fake Walbro 255 lph!!

I brought it off ebay and it was listed as Genuine. I just replaced the C70 fake Walbro pump with a DW200. I'll be doing the same with the S70. The DW200 has the same rating a genuine Walbro 255 but is a newer design which means much quieter pump and ethanol rated.

Some further update, received the upgraded exhaust manifold and oem one piece stainless steel gasket.

Custom rear swaybar worked out really well.

Stock diameter was about 20.4mm material is mild steel with a wall thickness of about 2mm.

Replacement tube is 25.4 mm - 304 grade stainless steel with a 1.6mm wall thickness, whilst the stock is slightly thicker the torsional strength is about 30% stronger than mild steel.

I purchased two 800mm rods from here: (have to ring them for custom lengths)

Measuring,cutting and rewelding was left to my go to local engineering place - Camden Engineering.

I am wrapped with the result, performance wise and quality wise, fantastic bang for buck. Its not going to be as good as a dedicated solid bar like IPD ones for example but i'm not looking to break any lap records here.

No fitment or clearance issues either, all oem mounting hardware reused.

Isnt that he Delta Link suspension parts?
Staino is going to work harden and crack a lot more easily than carbon steel/mild is though.

I only know it as the rear sway bar :)

Hoping it lasts the distance, only time will tell...

Keep an eye on it bloke , dont want a failure putting you in the bushes!
It will fail where the weld meets the tube , the ' heat affected zone' .
Have seen plenty of stainless in so many situations , the failures and re-welding and they fail beside the welds again...

The rear sway bar in my '96 850 snapped off at the weld just last week. Funnily enough the '94 850 rear sway bar snapped off about 2 years ago. Must come with a built in 20 year life span! Ha ha!
More affordable options on replacement sway bars is needful, good luck with the mod and keep us posted on performance. Cheers
