AshDVS Thats either tomorrow or Sunday morning. Might be tomorrow afterall now. Will sms you this evening.
240Joe Haha! What's the problem with the suspension? You coming to Geelong this weekend then? I have some carpet for you.
A_Volvo_Driver The rattle that has always been there since we installed it. I am hoping that Ash's expert eyes/ears can identify it. EDIT: Ash is either going to my place on his way back from Melbourne on Saturday, or I'll be going to Geelong on Sunday. Still to be confirmed.
240Joe From the rear? I'd buzz the swaybar bolts with a rattle gun (they should be right but just in case) and make sure the exhaust isn't rattling on the body. Then I would check to see if the torque rod bushes are still healthy, as I had these go on my silver car lately. ...or I could be totally off the mark!
AshDVS All feasible possible causes. I'm thinking - 1/ lower shock bolts worn/loose - this also goes through the swaybar. 2/ torque rod bushes 3/ trailing arm bushes (body end) 4/ exhaust maybe, though that he a more distinct sound. I'll come to yours now (see your email) late morning.
A_Volvo_Driver Ash had a quick look, but we'll need to jack it up for a closer inspection. He thinks that it's most likely the top or bottom suspension bolts. You aren't off the hook yet Joe :)
A_Volvo_Driver Colour choice; the plan was always to paint the car a dark yellow (recycle bin yellow or lego man head yellow), but how do we think of Polestar blue? Either colour will stick out like dogs balls, but what do we think?
irishbastard A_Volvo_Driver;19789 wroteI hate green, it's so ugly!, That's a bit honest, lol, though green is a good colour a 240 should be something different like hot pink or black to be one of a kind..,,
AshDVS The 240, sometimes doesn't seem to lend itself well to really bright vivid colours, in my opinion. id go with a white or a charcoal grey which would go with black bumpers etc.
