Ahhh I know what you mean, yes I do have one of those. My mums Laser came with a thing in its kit though that literally extended the lug nut bar haha.

I have heard of others having troubles with cheap aftermarked axles, so be careful. Personally, I have had good experience rebooting my old OEM axles. It is pretty easy, provided you arent scared of old grease :-) (and of course reboot them before they get full of gravel)
Also, if it is any comfort, second time around it is much easier to get the axles out :-)

Yeah, I had trouble with the cheepies on my Telstar, due to an oil leak they quickly got perished by oil, only had the car for about 2 years, did 20,000 kays on them. Oh well, as long as it gets me through a roady and the next two and a half years of uni that'll be fine.

I guess my point is, if you are considering cheap aftermarket axles, you shouldnt really count out second hand OEM axles. They should also be cheap, and with a new boot kit (cheap on ebay) you can get plenty of life out of them.

Otherwise, at least talk to someone that has used (or experience of) the aftermarket ones you are looking at, so that you don't end up with rubbish.

Second hand but oem t5 axles is about as good as it comes. Really strong and will fit fwd stuff.

Ill have a good look at them and ask the seller about it I guess, if Im unsure Ill avoid, do have to get em done ASAP though so might just risk it and flog it...

Ah I forgot about that haha. I already ordered some 'new' ones off eBay, should be here by Friday. I wanted ones in Melbourne so I could get em this morning but that didn't happen anyway

Yeah at some point but I need to source the centre console fascia for an 850 as the V70 is different.

Mmmm.. I thought I told you all about that..

You don't need the facia. just a boot, gearknob and the plastic clip that retains the boot(which I have and am happy to send you). The console itself will need some slight modification to hold the retainer in but it is not a big deal.

Oh you did too and I completely forgot. In any case it won't happen until the 244 is done (soon!!), however I may replace the axles sooner than that due to the annoying vibration.
