Tassie6er What a cracker of a 164 - lovely stuff and I just want to put an interior like that in my car!
Rob I have changed the headlight surrounds back to white, decided I don't like the chrome after looking at all of these pictures. I like them on the early front, so they will be used on the 162.
Ex850R Yes! Does look better , amazing what a small part can do! Great old design made up of many complimentary parts and it works so well! Love it. I want a wagon with that front one day.
Rob Ex850R;38775 wroteI want a wagon with that front one day. Me too. I shall have one but there are a couple of other projects to build first, I have the front half sitting here waiting.. One day I will purchase a rear half.
Ex850R Of course I want the coupe front doors , the extra room to get in/out and make it a 3 door wagon. That could look good. Bit of work but worth it.... One day....
zzdhalla Rob;25119 wroteFinally found one of these... Have been chasing one for several years. This one came from Amsterdam. :) Nice - I have a 123ignition for my 164 will be interested to see how it goes when I finally fit the thing. Have 3 in our 140's so I know they work bloody well... /dlh
Rob I am taking this to Sydney next weekend for the national rally. I decided an engine bay cleanup was in order before heading down. Have stripped it of all wiring and am working on cleaning up the excessive number vacuum hoses. Going to relocate the tennis ball vacuum tank also. I managed to remove the temp gauge wire though. 8-} so now I have to track it down again. Much bigger task than I had originally intended but it is something I have been meaning to do for quite some time. Pretty silly to take it on a week before the sydney trip though.
