Nice. Are you planning on doing the engine wiring loom while you're at it?

Alternative green fuel pump relay did the trick. Still misfiring, exhaust leak (egr) to sort out when time permits, but at least there’s fuel supply now.

Just continuing this thread, Dan's wagon has a new owner, me! After being out of the Volvo game for quite a few years I saw his wagon for sale and picked it up as a little project, progress will probably be slow but gradually Im planning on getting it back up to scratch!

Had more than 5 minutes to look at the car today, needs a pretty extensive detail as the pics will show

Plus the bonnet is stuck shut, it was closed with a block of wood under there and it's jammed the latch closed, I thought I knew how to get it open but no dice, can anyone advise me on the best bit to hit with a hammer to get it open?

Twist with a pair of pliers that lever toward the direction of the cable

ramrod so up according to the photo direction? Sweet I'll try that, I tried prying that lever the other night but didn't get anywhere with it

Normal cable operation is in the direction of the white arrow. Pulling the cable rotates that cam thing around against the lever in the red circle.

What you need to move is the part within the red circle, in the direction of the red arrow.

Success! I ended up wriggling the grill out so I could access to the latch, after trying to pry the release open with no luck I started to undo the bolts that good the latch to the bonnet and it just popped open, feels like the release is seized shut so I'll get that working again.

Reds on, all the dash lights seem to work, the exterior lights all work too which is impressive.

My jump pack is pretty well past it's use by so not real impressive cranking but it did do some revolutions.

Ended up at 13.9l/100 with the triton for the full round trip, wasn't too bad at all!

Gave them all a clean and reinstalled.

Daisy chained together a 3/4 charged battery, my 1/2 power jump pack and a AGM battery that's lost a cell and got this

It runs! Pretty sure that it's empty of fuel because every attempt after this it would fire then stop, plus fuel gauge is showing dead empty.

Finally had some time to at least give the wagon a wash

It's nowhere near perfect but it was only a soap then pressure wash, I started at 6 and finished at 8.

I'll get some proper hand washing done when I get a chance.

Paint is solid but has lots of mini cracks in the clear so it will need spraying at some point.

Still haven't put any fuel in it to see how it runs properly, instead I picked all this stuff up

LH2.4 stuff, is this everything I need for the conversiom from kjet? I think I'm missing an ECU, and maybe wiring from behind the dash and the cluster? I still have access to the car it was all removed from as it's getting an engine conversion with a full standalone ECU

It's going to be N/A for now so no need to extend maf wiring or injector swapping I believe? It all came from a 93 240 wagon auto

I should have a spare NA LH-2.4 ECU, if you're interested send me a message.

Don't forget to make sure the bellhousing has a cutout for the crank sensor, if your bellhousing doesn't have one you just have to cut it out with a grinder, only thing to watch is that you don't leave jagged/sharp corners in the cutout as it can create stress risers and lead to cracking.

jamesinc the car that this all came from should have the ECU in it still, I didn't remove any of the stuff so not entirely sure what I'm missing, but if I have no luck I'll let you know!

@Jaz so fast, might have missed my edit, if you have that car still, it may be nicer to take the bellhousing from there, assuming it has the same transmission. Although that is a bit of scope creep as you'll then want to replace the input shaft seal for the transmission.

Actually I would do the rear main seal while you're in there too!

jamesinc I just happened to look haha yeah they guy I bought this all off has the car, pretty sure he has sold the trans though, his was auto and I'm running a m46 so I have to sort a flywheel out and drill the block for the sensor.

But yeah lol probably do the rear main depending on how it looks, has a near new clutch in it I believe

@Jaz if it's a B230 I'm pretty sure it is already tapped, you just need the bracket that the sensor mounts to.
