Putting the sump back on with the extra cutout for the pickup was much simpler; there's no need to drop the crossmember anymore, just lifting the engine is enough.
Then yesterday I took the car out to Sydney Motorsport Park for another wet skid pan day (it's one of the reasons I bought the car after all!) and it performed flawlessly all day.

It was a great crowd and everyone out seemed to get a kick out of seeing the big wagon sliding around, even though with the stock suspension, open diff, auto gearbox and barely functioning handbrake it wasn't the most graceful out there ?

I tried to take a few of in-car videos using my phone in the holder

Overall I had a great time and was very impressed by the extra power from the 'A' cam and increased timing. The car still won't get to the 6k redline while sliding, but at least it sits at a more respectable 5,500rpm and has enough torque to actually kick the rear out from about 2,500.
I can't wait to get some chunky swaybars and the turbo setup going, those should make a big difference to the experience.
