I've had a busy couple of months so havent made a heap of progress on the V70 of late as I've been preoccupied with a heap of customer suspension work, I decided to go a buy a motorcycle too so have been spending spare chunks of time racking up kms on that and the push bike as well.
Last week, I got back into little interior stuff and finally finished getting the alcantara handbrake boot swapped over -
To do that, you need to seperate the inner steel trim ring from the boot and plastic surround, clean it up, then glue the new boot to the trim ring and epoxy the lot back into the plastic surround.
Lots of bulldog clips required.
I put aside half a day today and all of tomorrow to work through a bit of a more serious list.
Today, we removed the subframe, fitted new Delrin subframe mounts, new front, rear and RHS engine mounts, new lower control arms, replaced the timing belt and tensioners (didnt end up doing the water pump as it was recently done anyway), replaced the serpentine belt as well and fitted a new fuel filter while it was up in the air.
We've currently got the struts out of it and the Ohlins front struts, Eibach front springs and DVS strut brace will go in tomorrow.
If all goes well, we will get brakes done too.
