I've been doing little odds and ends on the V70 in the past week, really just focused on finishing up the interior.
I trekked out to the sketchiest looking self-serve wrecking yard in the world on Wednesday and returned with a replacement glovebox bin and a RR interior roof pull handle and fitted those. This afternoon, between running around the place I re-skinned my centre console lid and pieced one together out of a couple of them and even fitted the brand new genuine volvo cup holder that I'd bought a while back.
Here's the skin -
It's 9002 Dark Charcoal Alcantara sides with a Charcoal leather top section, with silver stitching to match the steering wheel and the whole monochrome theme I've got going on.
And here's all the bits on the bench that I had to choose from -
And here's the finished product all fitted into the car -
I still need to fit the alcantara handbrake boot and find a decent RF interior roof pull handle, fit some of the plastic trims around the front seat mounting points before the interior is complete, but its really close.
Beyond that, interior-wise, I just need to work out what I want to do with the front seats - whether I'm retrimming the bases or swapping out to a different seat.
The handbrake boot is 9002 Dark Charcoal Alcantara, with silver stitching to match.
If anyone is considering doing the same, I have another centre console trim and handbrake boot the same as these, except that they're '9052 Charcoal Alcantara' where these are '9002 Dark Charcoal Alcantara' - I'd ordered 9052 by mistake so re-ordered them as I'd already had the steering wheel done and they didnt match it.
