Just no easy path that's why battery needs to go in the boot.....
That'd make the path a lot easier, there's no doubt about that, then it's just the decision of routing the inlet - in behind the grille opening, in front of the rad or in the bar somewhere.
I dont like the idea of moving the battery into the cargo area of a wagon though and I tend to get carried away with battery relocations and cost adds up. I did a quick spreadsheet of costs on this car the other night - truly frightening. lol. I dont mind as I will keep it, but it was a little surprising.
Making a little more progress through things today and, for the moment, the bodywork is just about done. I got the RH skirt on, removed and refitted the carbon mirror covers and bonded the headlight washer blankers in place. One needed a little bit of time with the die grinder as the shape of the underside of it didnt fit well into the top of the bar, but that was fairly straightforward.
I also fitted the first of the replacement coil leads for Volvo 5cyl turbo cars using the MSD coil. Some of you with them may have found replacements hard to get, or found your original one a little too short, etc. These will be available via www.dvs.net.au shortly, if you need one beforehand, just let me know.
