I'm once again waiting for parts. I'd love to have known the history of this R-Sport kit, on a number of occasions I've run into parts that have been custom modified. I'm sure the mods all have a purpose, but I don't know what that purpose is so I have to revert everything back to spec, otherwise I run the risk of building a motor that is impossible to debug.
Anyway, I've had to put another order in with VP Autoparts for some of the pieces that join the throttle spindle (#3 below) to the throttle butterfly. The lever with the ball joint (#10) on the end of it is supposed to be keyed to the throttle spindle, but mine has been drilled out and then had a bushing installed, then instead of being keyed another part had been modified to capture it like a drive dog.
There's also a couple of 10-32X5/8" screws that hold the choke assembly, I had to drill both of them out when tearing the carb down, they're countersunk flathead screws.
