Larger than stock, or larger than 25 mm? I’ve read A LOT of reviews and most people seem to agree it’s the best upgrade you can make to a 940…
940 Turbo - 25 mm Front and Rear IPD sway bar
I think it depends on your driving
Is this a road car or track car or both?
spirited road driving… just to eliminate the massive amount of body roll inherent in the car
You probably won't get to test the car to the limit on the road, in which case you can use the thicker rear bar and it's limitations will likely not be felt but you will reduce the body roll
Evan11509So, I guess that means IPD is the best bet for the sway bars? Has IPD been in touch. Just thinking if we could get a few people to order they might do a deal and shipping would be loads cheaper
Just remember to keep the total including shipping below $1000AUD...given the exchange rate and shipping costs, 2 sets of bars may put it over the limit then the order would be subject to GST and import duty and a customs fee when it lands here...a number of us have been caught out.
crap.... thanks... didn't think of that.
IMO the 25mm Ipd rear bar seems to reduce body roll nicely but is probably a bit too firm for carrying the highest possible speed through a corner on my 205/60R15 road tyres.
I think the 25mm ipd front bar is excellent although highly rate getting excellent quality end links, I have popped too many standard ones.
Which end links do you recommend?
I've broken end links in my 760 with the 24mm sway bar, the real solution is adjustable end links
"Hello Daniel,
Thanks for the email. This Sway Bar Kit is scheduled to get back in stock on August 13th. Unfortunately we can't guarantee that the parts will be back in stock on that date because we've had so many delays"
Straight from ipd
So looks like the cheapest I can get this for you would be a 20% discount and would put the Sway Bar Kit at $311.96. Unfortunately I can't do much more of a discount than that, but when you do order these just mention the "ozvolvo" member thing and the quote I gave you above.
You're welcome gentleman.
That's the iPD kit, front and rear, in USD plus shipping?
