It's just my initials, we are setting up an automotive restoration business, this will cover a lot of different work, we will also be doing basic servicing and maintenance but mainly just for the local Volvo scene since there's already lots of mechanics in the area.

I got this delivered today, it's a bishamon two post floor plate hoist. using other types would mean having a section of the floor redone since it's pretty average, I don't think the floor plate will get in the way a lot. It was 2.5k including delivery, installation and wiring. It will be getting repainted.

This got delivered a few weeks ago, supercharged 240.

    Nice, is that this one?

Yep that's it, it has been in storage for the last 7 years.

Slowly getting the cars to the new location

Dad and I towed the 760Turbo down this morning, good to finally have it under cover.

I drove the orange 244 down today, I'm pretty keen to get this registered. It has a genunie 84.000Ks and is in amazing original condition. The first job is to paintthe original steel wheels and put them back on.

      @Ben they're talking about you

They’ll get bored soon enough ?

Great to see the business taking shape!

@DCW242 is that orange 244 the one that was in albury with damage to the rear side panel? I was super tempted to buy it, glad it found a good owner.

Is your plan with all these cars to have them because they're cool, or to fix them up and eventually re-sell them?

      Thanks @Ben

@240 this is a different one, it lived in Brunswick it's whole life until I got it, it use to belong to a volvo club member in vic.

I plan to keep most of the cars, a few will be for sale eventually. Ideally I'll get them onto club rego, but it will take a long time to get them all back on the road.

I drove the 262 here as well, it hasn't been driven in almost a year but it went well.

Look forward to following your progress and hope all goes well with the business.

        Great workshop space!

It'd be great to have a small space on the mezzanine for a bedroom and lounge, etc.

I had thought about that but ended up finding a suitable house, lounge is a tempting idea though.

          Hi @DCW242

Are you offering project car storage at this stage? Say for 6 or 12 month blocks or even month-to-month?

Sorry for the slow reply. Space has become a bit tighter than we expected, my parents have a property in western Victoria, a few days ago the council told us we can't use it for car storage anymore and it has to be tidied. Meaning we have to tow about 15 cars to the warehouse, we've been doing this over the last few days.

I'll let you know about storage options once we have things a bit more organised.
