Okay after some distractions and some terrible weather I have at last put welder to body work.
The less-bad pinholes have now been ground back and tacked up.
Now the harder part - I've cut up some lengths of the offcut gutter I picked up and wire-wheeled them back to bare metal, sometime this week I will hopefully have time to weld one or both in.
I've had to cover the whole car in cardboard. I was umming-and-ahhing about buying a welding blanket, then realised it was stupid to even consider not buying one. I got a 1.8m x 1.8m Cigweld blanket during the Black Friday sales.
