i thought they werent legal?

Hey guys ive done a little bit of research and was wondering if its at all possible to do a hub conversion on a 240. Im desperate to put some 4 stud wheels on the old girl but not sure if its possible?

thank you @timbo that is some very good advice! ill be doing some more research and follow up on what i can do with my current motor!

was hoping to spend around $10k doing a lot of the work myself, i just felt a possible engine rebuild was out of my skill level. ill have a further look to see if the engine is worth saving though.

Hey guys, ive had my 240 for a number of years now and recently the head gasket blew, so obviously the next step is into doing an engine swap. at the moment my first choice is the T-5 from the C30 turbo, with that adding some elevate performance parts. i havent been able to find much infomation about transmissions however and i dont know if its worth while to upgrade it as well. anyone have any info on how much abuse the stock 240 trans can take and if its worth keeping. if no what would be some good replacements?
