My Recaros aren't racing seats at all, they're just comfy road-car seats out of a JDM Hilux ... at the time they were cheaper at the local JDM wreckers than OEM seats that were any good from other wreckers or private-sales.
So if you can get other seats cheaply, your decision's likely different to mine ... mine were & still are in need of a retrim, but I always intended to re-trim whatever I installed regardless.

I found that to adapt Recaros to the 240 I needed welding skills, if you've got a mate who can weld up the frames (safely) then all good. I couldn't see how to get a bolt-in-without-brackets frame to work, but having said that the genuine Recaro adapters/runners I ended-up using are pretty simple.
A quick Google also comes up with this as the first result, dunno if anyone has tried these or has any comments:
https://www.bneshop.com/products/240-recaro-6-bolt-seat-bracketsYou generally just need to weld an adapter bracket up that mounts whatever seat you want to a 240 seat rail.
If the 240 seat rail and the new seat have really offset mounting points, you can potentially make bolt-on brackets that don't require welding, but you won't know until you have the seat and the bracket together and can offer them up.
If they're a mechanical seat (i.e. no electric adjustments) and they don't have an integrated airbag, you can fit almost anything in a 240.
