@DCW242 has a P2 M56H I believe, not sure if that's compatible.
Ive got a few M56s, one out of an S70 - M56L

And a heap of varying degrees of fucked Hs and M59s

Give Voldat a call on (03) 9553 1091
You can quote me on "Julian says its the one out back near the back door out of the pommy import car" And John will know which one it is :D

We freight boxes all the time

Good luck!

Wich one would you be putting in if tou were too put one in an 850 Julian. Is there a more suitable one for a high modded 850?
Thats a pretty contentious topic in itself
Id stay away from the M59s because their stupid "lsd" RHS driveahaft are a far cry from how a real LSD works, and they are getting rarer.

Ive got a super fresh factory exchange M56H in my R with a quaife in it, Its the ratios between the Ls and Hs that make them appealing to different people

http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/124605-m56h-vs-m56l/

Gear ratios (M56L):
1st - 3.38
2nd - 1.90
3rd - 1.19
4th - 0.87
5th - 0.70
Reverse - 2.99

Gear ratios (M56H):

1st - 3.07
2nd - 1.77
3rd - 1.19
4th - 0.87
5th - 0.70
Reverse - 2.99
Wealth of knowledge you younhg blokes are. I do like the look of the the longer ratios though i spose ill go with m56.
I'm dropping this out the bottom slowly and a pic of the hole . I'm keen too see what has caused this , felt like the car lifted of the ground??

You've probably spat one of the diff side gears out. Would be worth upgrading to decent LSD while you have the box
Holy cannoli!
Yeah, tear it down and see what happened inside for sure!

Can confirm Quaifes are feckin awesome, but getting exxy

For sure . Are they stocked at vp? I'm "hoping" a tooth from the pressure plate or similar broke off then trying to gett stuck causing this as it's the belhousing also it only lacked approx 500 'll oil.
Being an older gentleman i shoild have known revs around 7 wont allow debret too get stuck and the box can be saved. Wasting energy and time assuming shit and I'd be best doing a bit more...
Doesn't look within the specified tolerance too me. I did think about checking this leading up too it.

I don't really understand what your trying to say but thats the diff housing that has a large hole/crack. Its seperated from the bellhousing/clutch area.
Usually the side gears of the diff get spat out especially if your saying it happened at 7k rpm?
