I was considering the same things you are. But I couldn't be bothered:
a) having brake discs machined every time
b) nor swapping the rear axle to suit the front PCD (to have the same wheels all-round)
c) redrilling wheels that still have the wrong offset, thus requiring adapters (so a + b)
And you probably already know adapters are illegal in NSW. That last one is not a big deal if you can find a mechanic that will pink slip the car anyway. But I only go to one mechanic and he wouldn't pass the car with adapters. (I also wouldn't trust insurance companies not to knock-back a claim if my car was totaled and they discovered adapters fitted.)
Then I thought, while I don't intend to sell, if I ever did I don't want to limit buyer interest. What I'm getting at is, if you plan to keep the car long-term, you might decide it's easier to just pay a higher cost and get wheels that fit the car as-is - even if it means importing them - rather than paying that cost over time anyway to machine discs each time. This is the way I'm leaning anyway. Because I can always put the old rims back on, sell the car, and sell whatever wheels I do buy separately. (And those will then resell at a good price for precisely the same reason - that it's a pain to find wheels that just fit without modifying the car.)
That said:
* "Superlights" already suit 240 stud pattern.
* There's some here too:

* This guy had several:
http://carlinktyres.com.au but his site is not working atm. I just phoned him and he said it will take him a few months to fix the site. So I guess it's not his full time job. He did ask what wheels I was interested in so maybe just phone - or can probably find them elsewhere. The wheels he had that fit the 240 PCD and offset are known as "G2" wheels. You can still see an archive view of a few I was considering:

And some of his site seems to still work through by clicking in that archive site. e.g. I clicked here:
