Vee_Que Hello All. After a long wait, I can finally import more drop in 240/740/940 Turbo intercoolers that are 60mm thick, aluminium end tanks and therefore have better efficiency than the factory plastic end tank intercoolers that are 25mm thick. and with their age and owners wanting to use more than standard boost, it's not a good result for making more power. Pricing will be higher than 3 years ago, the price is $340aud plus shipping Australia wide, usually about $35 Please contact me via PM, or by email disintegratorperformance@gmail.com Below is pictures of the intercooler installed in my own 740 Turbo, with a standard airbox, they have been in use in 5 diffferent cars for over 60,000kms.
Vee_Que I will accept pre orders up until they arrive at the lower price as long as it ends up at 11 people. However. I really would like to get as many people as I can up front in the next week. Deposit will be 20%
deleted_user_160 Tree;83128 wroteThis still going? What are the gains roughly on a stock engine? Reliability. That in its self is everything. You don't blow the end tanks off with over 15psi. Not to mention these safely cool the charged air beyond 15psi that the plastic versions struggle to do. My personal experience was a gain in 2psi no change in mbc settings. (Sadly don't have pre and post cooler Air temp sensors
Tree Thanks for the input Jay! This might just be the ticket for rematch against the s2k hehe (only running 10psi for safety no AFR)
deleted_user_160 Ypu shouldn't have an issue with 12-14psi. My Dyno results with the 14b showed detonation only at 7200rpm
Vee_Que Tree;83128 wroteThis still going? What are the gains roughly on a stock engine? Yes, the intercoolers have been ordered. And I'm still accepting pre orders! My personal experience is increased reliability, I kept blowing plastic end tank units out. And as a result had a 2-3psi increase as soon as I installed it in the car.
deleted_user_160 Not to mention the increased cooking of charged air, toto being double thickness wile maintaining full surface area. Heat soak is reduced dramatically
OldnDecrepit Jay, will you be doing any orders for other models such as C70s? I'd be interested in a similar 'drop in" version for my Saffron Gold 1998 C70 which I hope to pick up on Saturday.
Vee_Que I'm conidering it, but the person whom I was going to use as a test car bought a snabb one instead, but I will look into it still once I get this batch of intercoolers in and then once I have made more t5 adaptor plates!
